CLIENT

Trèfle is a multi-label Caribbean brand established in 2008 in the British Virgin Islands. Their offerings include swimwear, resortwear, accessories, home goods, activewear, and consulting services, all featuring vibrant designs inspired by island life.

PROBLEM

Despite strong local recognition, Trèfle lacked visual cohesion. Founder Kristin needed a premium identity to support international expansion and wholesale growth while preserving the brand's Caribbean heritage.

OUR APPROACH

Our strategic redesign elevated Trèfle to "Caribbean Luxury" status. According to Kristin: "The logo and brand mark took my business to another level." The new premium identity has successfully enhanced the brand's global market position.

The design

The Trèfle logo features a sophisticated serif font, custom-tailored with a distinctive wave element on the 'R' that pays homage to the brand's origins in the beautiful British Virgin Islands.

To honour the rich family heritage behind the brand, we created a minimalist clover icon that represents Kristin's roots as a third-generation seamstress. This thoughtful detail celebrates her late grandmother, Ruth "Clover" Anthony, who established a small business called Clover's in Tortola back in 1962—a legacy that continues to inspire and inform Trèfle's identity today.

The Packaging Experience

We designed a packaging system that puts Trèfle's stunning prints and vibrant colors center stage. The neutral-toned bags and packaging materials provide the perfect canvas, accented with the signature Trèfle blue that has become a recognisable brand element.

The distinctive blue mailer boxes create an immediate brand recognition moment, while the semi-transparent tissue wrapping offers an enticing glimpse of the colourful prints within. Each package is sealed with a custom sticker featuring one of the brand's signature marks, completing an unboxing experience that's as thoughtfully crafted as the products themselves.
